Day 2.
We started off with a morning assembly downstairs (of our dorms). Once gathered, we took a stroll to the canteen to have our BREAKFAST! Excited, we went on to queue up. SHOCKING! One bowl of noodles cost THIRTY CENTS (Singapore dollars). Oh my, being all so generous as usual,
I said: okay all dry noodles on me!
So the six of us ordered dry noodles and happily trot to an empty table, went to get 5 bottles of fanta orange! And again, they cost 25cents (again Singapore currency) EACH! Oh my. Lifted my chopsticks and took my first bite! (and stayed that way for a few seconds) and finish the noodles already in my mouth. HORRENDOUS! INEDIBLE! Okay I’m not really exaggerating but, it really tasted like crap. Finished my fanta orange (oh by the way, their straws are really small) and placed my chopsticks down. No breakfast for me today (that day).
Stood outside the canteen and whine all about it hahaha! Waited for god-knows-who (cause I don’t, probably other people who has not finish their breakfast) weather in china’s really bad! Really really HOT and their sky is just plain bright yellow. No blue no clouds (or their skies is covered by clouds all the time)
Went for campus orientation around the place, I must say their buildings, structures and sceneries are quite good looking from the outside, especially the School of Literature and Law, their sports stadium and beyond and the School of Foreign Language (where we study).
Went back to the canteen for LUNCH! This time, we went upstairs for muslim food. Much more expensive, but much nicer in taste too. Nicholas went on to queue up for us, and guess what! The year3s stole our food. There was a queue, we ordered and,
A year3 said: Here also can order your food!
And thus, our food got stolen as the year3s ordered, and told the auntie that it’s theirs. (I’m sure they didn’t know we ordered cause they just came in) oh well, what luck. We went back downstairs to buy coke and super oily sausages instead.
Gathered, went outside to buy our food card (which took a really long time due to some complications such as registering), and a supermarket. SPEAKING OF WHICH, my brilliant nose started bleeding profusely. Ripped a toilet roll and spammed it on my poor little nose. Blood blood blood EVERYWHERE! From the floor to my friend’s shirt to my shirt. Our trip leader, Mr. Lee was quite concerned and I really appreciate it, thanks! Carried twelve 1.5L of bottled water all the back from the supermarket to the university dorm, TO THE FIFTH LEVEL. Sorry, the internet’s down so I can’t blog. What I did was blog on Microsoft word.
So anyway, rest, and was watching Street Kings halfway, till we wanted to start on cleaning the whole apartment. PEST CONTROL! I spammed the pesticide at every corner of my room (Death count, >7) Spiders, cockroach nymph, beetles? 2nd phase was sweeping at every spot possible multiple times, and to our horror, we’re very confident that the apartment wasn’t cleaned at all, even after construction. There was saw dust, spider webs, dust balls, like a bird’s eye view of a desert. We took really really long to clean the room, thoroughly. We swept the room, moved furniture and swept again. And Nicholas did the same for moping. AND IT’S FREE AND EASY TILL 8am. Doing my work here at night before going to sleep.
